It is simply impossible – not to say probably illegal – to slate these northern chappies. Over the last year or so they have been a massive success at Glastonbury and countless other festivals and had one of the biggest Xmas successes last year.
They are a comedy band but they do try to address modern issues and not just throw out ‘titty-bum’ humour as many people might expect of them – and they are, occasionally, bloody funny.

When they aim for real humour as on tracks like ‘Identity Fraud’ or ‘Hardcore Quornography’ (the problems with a vegetarian wife) which boasts the wondrous line “it’s either Maccy D’s or the pleasures of the flesh” they hit the spot and they are a great listen. ‘Sniffling Next Door’s Broadband’ is fine as well but when they bemoan society’s changes as they do with ‘Landlord Lock The Door’ it is weaker.

They play punk, pop, rock & roll but very little folk but whatever they do play is fine and they really are the best comedy band on the circuit at the moment.
