With their debut LP release date fast approaching, Crystal Fighters have set off on a major European tour and stopped off in Old Street’s latest venue XOYO to play their new material. With such a high quality album it was a gamble whether they’d be able to live up to such great tunes live, but they did not fail to disappoint by any means.
The band were just as energetic as the crowd as they opened with a crowd pleasing I Love London followed by the heavy I Do This Everyday. Behind Crystal Fighters was a projection display of subtle yet fun pictures and movies.
Crystal Fighters have a lot of stage presence and they feel most at home performing. The band kept up the energy throughout the entire show and treated each song as if it were the finale. We were treated to an explosive In the Summer and the set finished with Xtatic Truth.
Crystal Fighters are a great live band who add subtleties to their show which make a huge difference. Catch them before they disappear.
