Lena Dunham: Swift come to Girls!
Lena Dunham says Taylor Swift is welcome anytime on the Girls set.
The creator and star of the hit show is back with the fourth season of Girls and would love it if her close pal Taylor would join the cast.
It's been rumoured before that the country-turned-pop singer would be appearing in a cameo role, but this is yet to materialise.
“Taylor’s one of my best friends. If she ever wanted to come we would be overjoyed to have her!” Lena gushed to ET Online on the Golden Globes red carpet. “We have no official plans, but let's just say she’s welcome anytime!
"She's pretty busy taking over the planet right now."
"We don't know for sure whether we're invited back - I mean we do, but we haven't had the official invitation, so for people who aren't in the cast they need to wait a little bit longer," added Lena's co-star Allison Williams.
Both Lena and Allison opted for red gowns at last night's award ceremony, with Lena in a Zac Posen number and Allison in a floor length Armani Privé dress.
As well as fuelling Taylor gossip, 28-year-old Lena also dropped another bombshell last night - that she had deleted her Twitter account.
"I deleted Twitter because I'm trying to create a safer space for myself emotionally. People threaten my life and tell me what a cow I am,” Lena told Ryan Seacrest.
"There’s a lot of people I love on Twitter, but unfortunately you can’t read those without reading deranged neocons telling you you should be buried under a pile of rocks."
However, it seems the comment may have just been said in the heat of the moment as she's been updating her followers on the social media site with last night's antics.
"Oh don't worry @markruffalo just caught me googling myself #goldenglobes (sic)," she posted earlier.
