Fans of the 'Godfather of heavy metal', Ozzy Osbourne, get a very rare chance to meet the legend, in person, when he visits HMV's flagship Oxford Street store in London's West End on Friday 2nd October 2009 to celebrate the release of his new book, 'I Am Ozzy'.
Ozzy will be at the store from 6.00 pm to meet fans and sign copies of his new book which is published by Sphere on Thursday 1st October 2009.
The stories of Ozzy's days on the road are legendary - biting the head off a live bat, losing his best friend and writing partner Randy Rhoades in a tragic plane crash - but few know of the real heartbreak he suffered during those days of excess. Now, having sold over a hundred million records both with Black Sabbath and as an award-winning solo artist, Ozzy has five children and lives with his wife Sharon in California and Buckinghamshire.
Due to time constraints access to the event is limited. 300 wristbands will be available from the store on the day of the event from 9.00 am on a first come first served basis, one per customer only, no reservations.
