Wu Tang Clan deny Beatles sample

New York rappers Wu Tang Clan have taken back a statement earlier this week claiming they sampled The Beatles Why My Guitar Gently Weeps.

They posted a message of their Myspace attempting to clear up any misunderstanding.
"We didn't sample The Beatles, it was a replay ........The statement that we made yesterday was incorrect and we apologise for any confusion it may have caused. We DID NOT sample The Beatles... rather we did an interpolation of the classic George Harrison composition While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

George Harrisons son, Dhani, plays guitar on the recording and was instrumental in securing the re-use licence for RZA and the boys.
