Armin van Buuren and Philips stunned a specially invited audience of journalists and industry professionals by unveiling the new collaborative venture the M1X-DJ sound system.

Music-News.com was in Berlin to witness Industry innovator and five-time winner of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll, Armin launch the revolutionary product for both DJs and music fans.

Armin joined Philips on-stage at IFA in Berlin to talk about the collaboration and to showcase its first result: the M1X-DJ sound system, which allows you to mix, play and share the music you love.

“From the cassette tape to the CD, Philips has a rich history of bringing game-changing audio innovations to the world. Together, we want to inspire more people to listen to, create and share the music they love,” said Armin. “Fans often ask me what equipment they should buy when they want to start mixing themselves. A lot of kit can be expensive, so with the M1X I wanted to create something that’s accessible for everybody. The other great thing about the M1X is that you can play it wherever you want, whether that’s the beach, the park or your street: it’s the ghettoblaster reinvented for today.”

To celebrate the announcement of the partnership, Armin performed a secret gig on September 5th in Berlin, where he recorded his legendary A State of Trance (ASOT.com) show. Music-News.com was there to bring you all the gossip coming soon.
