Solange Knowles feels life is “overflowing” with love after marrying over the weekend.

The 28-year-old singer tied the knot with 51-year-old music video director Alan Ferguson on Sunday in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Solange remains deeply moved by her nuptials and she appreciates fans’ kind words over her marriage.

“Yesterday, I had the best day of my life and ended it with an abundance of peace, love over flowing through me like never before,” she wrote on her Saint Records Instagram account Monday, attaching a black and white pic of her embracing husband Alan. “Words only understate the feelings I experienced , but I want to thank you for all of your beautiful sentiments. I'm now one, with the one.”

Solange’s older sister Beyoncé Knowles attended the wedding with daughter Blue Ivy and husband Jay-Z by her side.

The stylish ceremony took on an all-white theme, as everyone in attendance wore a different shade of the colour. Bride and groom even rode into the wedding, which was held at Marigny Opera House, on white bicycles. A four-course Cajun cuisine was provided and a local live band was hired, which inspired the entire party to dance down the street for ten blocks.

Many fans on the internet have praised the beautiful family portraits taken at the stunning event. One photo in particular sees sister Beyoncé sitting on the ground with Solange in the middle and the siblings’ mother, Tina Knowles, standing prominently near Solange’s left shoulder.

According to insiders, everyone had a ball at the wedding, including Solange’s 10-year-old son from a previous relationship, Daniel.

"It was a beautiful event. Solange looked gorgeous and Jay and Beyoncé and Blue Ivy were the perfect little family there supporting her sister,” a source told Us Weekly. “The weekend was exactly what Solange wanted, friends and family in her favourite town. It was all about the fashion, it was all about the look and the music, because that's important to her. Alan's a great man and has made her very happy."
