The recently announced Great Northern Mod & SKA music festival has generated a massive buzz both locally and across the country with unprecedented ticket sales already!
What the vast majority of people don’t know is that the team behind the event is the same group of music loving volunteers that have been putting on the Richmond Live music festival in North Yorkshire for the last seventeen years.
The Great Northern Mod and SKA Festival will be held across four days from August 28th to 31st spanning the Summer Bank Holiday 2015. The venue is the unique and picturesque Thorp Perrow Arboretum in North Yorkshire. Despite being a stone’s throw from the A1 Thorp Perrow is nestled in the Yorkshire countryside on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
The line-up of acts continues to grow and the organisers are delighted to announce the following exciting and iconic acts:

Great Northern Festival Managing Director Mike Jinks said: ”Many folk thought we were just some sort of commercial venture out to make money from the revival of this great genre but we aren’t. We’ve loved putting on Richmond Live literally from nothing as volunteers for many years and it made sense to expand into another event everyone could enjoy and rely upon. We’ve been absolutely blown away by the level of interest it has generated and I’d strongly recommend anybody wishing to attend buys their tickets soon as numbers are limited.”
As well as live music there will be many other attractions including organised scooter rides around the 2014 Tour-de-France course through the astoundingly beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, Show and shine, fairground rides etc.
On-site camping is included in the weekend tickets along with all facilities including showers and an on-site shop for any bits and bobs you may have forgotten.
Ticket prices are exceptionally good value for money at just over £20 a day for weekend tickets with all attractions and acts included in the price. For ticket sales and prices go to www.greatnorthernfestivals.com/modska
