Kim Kardashian is pregnant with her second child.
There had been rumours for some time that the 34-year-old and her rapper husband Kanye West, 37, were trying desperately to conceive, apparently even undergoing IVF and considering adoption.
Now the good news has been shared on the family's reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
"I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant!" she rejoiced to sister Khloé on the latest episode of the E! show.
It's baby number two for the showbiz couple, who welcomed daughter North in June 2013. Not long after there were reports Kanye was desperate to start trying for another but the pair made no secret of their struggle to fall pregnant.
"We are trying. We try every single day. You can't try harder than we try," she previously told E! News. "It's getting exhausting. He always says, 'Trying for baby number two isn't as fun as trying to baby number one.'"
Kim teased her fans before the episode showed yesterday, promising them a big reveal and probing whether anyone could guess.
"Who is excited for tonight's KUWTK finale?!?!?! There's some exciting news to share so make sure you tune in!!!!! (sic)," she tweeted.
But it wasn't all good news on the finale, which also showed a scary car accident the family was involved in. No one was hurt in the end, but Kim shared her reaction on Twitter.
"But as a mother this as the scariest things that could have happened w your child in the car. Khloe handled it so well!" she wrote.
"If u only saw Northie's reaction! As a mom I got protective and left that scary moment out of the episode for her privacy (sic)"
