Actor Taylor Lautner is a huge fan of Jessie J, who he calls an "awesome" singer.
The actor is known to millions as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight films, but since the franchise wrapped in 2012 he's sunk his teeth into numerous other projects, including British TV series Cuckoo. During a break from filming over the summer (15) he took in London festival Wireless, where he caught Jessie belting out her smash hits.
"A photographer lent me his camera so I was checking out how it worked. I saw Nicki Minaj, David Guetta and Jessie J - she was my favourite. She's awesome. She sounds even better live than on her records," Taylor gushed to British newspaper Metro.
"I didn't know her before but I met her at the festival and she's very nice."
Taylor's new parkour flick Tracers is now available on DVD, and the project saw the actor tackle a physically demanding role. To play freerunner Cam, the 23-year-old received months of training to get the moves just right.
Luckily he escaped from filming unscathed, but the same can't be said for his co-stars.
"I had a few bumps and bruises but nothing serious. Both my co-stars broke their ankles. Marie Avgeropoulos broke hers in the second week of filming and had to do the whole movie with a busted ankle, so she was a trouper for getting through that. Then Adam Rayner broke his ankle two days before the end of shooting after doing so many crazy stunts," he revealed.
The actor has a further two films in production, including comedy The Ridiculous 6, starring and written by Adam Sandler.
Despite his heavy schedule, Taylor likes to touch base with his Twilight co-stars whenever he can, and recently escorted Kristen Stewart to the premiere of her new movie American Ultra.
"I see them when I can. I've stayed close to Kristen, she's one of my closet friends, so it was great to support her at that," he smiled.
