Mick Flannery releases his brand new single, “Star To Star”, today November 16th 2018. “Star to Star” was produced by Grammy nominated LA-based producer Jamie Candiloro (REM, Ryan Adams, Luscious Jackson) and is Mick’s first studio release since his critically acclaimed album I Own You in 2016.
Credited as one of Ireland's finest singer-songwriters, 2018 has seen Mick Flannery step out of his comfort zone both musically and geographically, touring new cities across UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand whilst working with a number of celebrated producers along the way. What has transpired over the last year is on of his strongest bodies of work in his fifteen year song-writing career. “Star to Star” is the first taster of what’s to come.
An award winning- double platinum selling artist, Mick has released five albums to date – including two number ones and received widespread airplay. Mick has collaborated with Irish songbird Lisa Hannigan and traditional artist Karen Casey. His songs have been covered by artists such as Shawn Colvin and Emmylou Harris who was introduced to Mick’s music by producer Buddy Miller. His critically acclaimed live performances have seen him sell out shows across Ireland including Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and Cork's Opera House.
