Police were recently called to a London restaurant after a man allegedly hurled abuse at Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock and slapped her round the face.

The British singer was reportedly having bite to eat with pals at VQ restaurant in the early hours of 28 November (16) following a night out at Mayfair nightclub Drama when a man started yelling at Leigh-Anne and her friend.

According to The Sun newspaper, when the man told her pal to "shut up" Leigh-Anne defended her, telling him not to be so rude, and he allegedly responded by walking around the table and giving "her a clean slap on the face.”

Stunned diners at the 24-hour restaurant told the publication they heard the smack, which left the 25-year-old's hair “stuck to her face”.

“He was really aggressive. He seemed like he had been drinking," an eyewitness added. “She looked completely shocked. She was laughing about it at first but then she completely broke down, crying. Her friend was comforting her.

“Leigh-Anne kept saying she wanted to go home. She walked off hysterically crying... Her friend had her arm round her. She looked a mess and she was crying her eyes out.”

Her friend called the police after the alleged attacker left the restaurant with a group of 10 friends. No arrests have been made.

“Police were called on Monday, 28 November at around 04:50 hours by a woman who stated that a man had threatened to assault her and had assaulted another woman she was with," a spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police confirmed. “The suspect made off prior to police arrival. Officers conducted a search of the area and did not locate the suspect.”

They also confirmed their investigation is ongoing.
