Musician and songwriter Marcus Lazarus has just released his third album This Life. Based in Watford, Marcus took the demos over to Italy in May this year, and recorded in a studio in Tuscany for a week. A mix of UK and Italian musicians all contributed to the album, which has an eclectic mix of blues, rock, Americana and up-tempo funk.
"The glorious surroundings were just perfect for creating a great vibe in the studio, and we had a lot of fun out there. " said Marcus. "The ambience and a few drops of the local vino certainly helped us settle in and get the job done to perfection."
Following on from his first EP 'Beggars and Thieves' in 2013 as well as the 2017 release 'Save My Soul' Marcus is establishing himself as a fine songsmith and producer. "I've learned a lot from the first 2 albums, and this one is an absolute gem." said Marcus. "They say you're never too old to try something new, so at the grand old age of 51 I took my first steps into songwriting, having played in countless pub and club bands throughout my life. I just wanted to try something different, and rewarding."
