Take That today announced the release of ‘Higher Than Higher’ the third single from No.1 album ‘III’ on the eve that they embark on their biggest ever arena tour.
'Higher Than Higher’ is a trademark soaring smash from the UK’s most successful live act and produced by Swedish production duo Mattman and Robin who also worked on Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’. Gary Barlow takes on lead vocals for the song, which shows yet another side to their brilliant new album after the funk and disco influenced No.1 ’These Days’, dance floor anthem ‘Let In The Sun’ and the cinematic ‘Get Ready For It’ (featured on the Kingsman soundtrack).
The Take That Tour 2015 kicks off in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro tonight (Monday 27th April) and will be the first night of their 41 date arena tour before going on to Belfast, Dublin, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield and London before moving on to Europe in the Autumn. The band added extra dates due to extraordinary demand after selling out initially in a matter of hours.
Previous tours have included everything from aerialists, circus performers, a wall of water, holograms, a giant elephant and on the last tour a 60ft robot. The band’s shows have never failed to excite and surprise their audience and this one is sure to be no exception.
On 1st December 2014, Take That released their seventh album ‘III’ with the first single ‘These Days’ released on the 23rd November. Both chart another poignant moment in the band's incredible history as the first time Take That have written and recorded as a three. The last time Take That released an album was in 2010, when they were a five piece: Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams.
Take That have had eight Number One albums, 13 Number One singles, sold over 30 million albums, won six Ivor Novellos, eight BRITs and sold over seven million concert tickets.
