Roman Kemp and Justin Bieber co-hosted on Capital FM last night, ahead of Justin’s performance at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola on Sunday 6 December.

RK: How did a song like Love Yourself come about? How long did it take to make?
JB: It was a process. Just getting us together, you know in the same room cause we did a lot of it separate. He is a good guy, super talented. Really good songwriter so just to be able to work with that calibre of songwriter was really really awesome.
RK: Looks like you guys have a really good friendship as well?
Yeah for sure. We are boys, so we just go out and we’re ‘mates’ as they would say over here.
RK: So one of the questions that obviously people naturally ask when listening to a song like Love Yourself – is it about past experiences? Is it about past girlfriends?
JB: Yeah, it is but you know I don’t want to make anyone upset so I’m not going to say it to the public.

RK: Will you be hanging side of stage watching some of the other acts before you go on?
JB: Possibly if I’m there in time. Usually I show up pretty late. I’m not going to be late on stage I just mean late, late in the show. I’m not going to be late on stage guys, don’t worry.
