Joseph Gordon-Levitt thrilled fans with his musical skills when he turned busker in a subway station as part of a new promo for his production company hitRECord.
The Dark Knight Rises star, who is the founder of the popular online artist and open-collaborative production community, was promoting a new project called Everyday, Spectacular, and decided to show off his talents on the platform in Los Angeles.
In a video posted on his Facebook page, the suited actor set up his own drum kit before sitting down to perform for the unsuspecting commuters.
Only a few passers-by noticed the drummer wasn't just a regular busker, and towards the end of the video, one man on the stopped train yelled out to the star and said, "You look like Pee-Wee Herman a little bit!", which prompted the actor to laugh out loud.
In addition to the video, Joseph wrote the caption: "I played the drums (in a subway) for our Everyday, Spectacular project. Now, where are all you musicians gonna play your instruments? Do you play Bass, Percussion, Horns - or any other kind of musical instrument? I'm looking for musicians (and vocalists, too!) to perform on this track w/ me!"
Joseph founded hitRECord in 2005 with his late brother Dan, and has found great success over the past decade with the company.
In 2014, the show's TV programme, HitRecord On TV, won the Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media for Social TV Experience at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Like the website, HitRecord on TV features the work of artists all over the world who submit their short films, live performances, cartoons and more.
