One of the greatest albums of all time has never been performed live in its entirety, until now.

Destined to be among 2016’s most talked about events, Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park invites you to relive one of music’s great records.

Carole King’s Tapestry instantly transports a whole generation back to the 1970s golden age of Californian singer songwriters, while continuing to inspire cover versions to this day. It has even inspired a hit musical on both sides of the Atlantic - ‘Beautiful’, about Carole King’s extraordinary life.

On Sunday July 3rd, Carole King and her band will play the album in full, live for the first time, a genuine piece of music history and a very special night in London’s Hyde Park. Even compared to some of legendary performances seen at the event since 2013, this is a true landmark. In the beautiful summer surroundings of central London's Hyde Park, sit back and experience 'Tapestry' like never before. In addition, she will also perform many of her other indelible hits.

Carole King said "I want to begin by thanking Londoners for making Beautiful: The Carole King Musical so successful. And now I’m coming to London and can’t wait to perform Tapestry from beginning to end for the first time ever! How perfect to be doing that in the heart of one of my favourite cities.

I know I’m not alone in considering Don Henley one of the greatest songwriters of our time. I’m looking forward to hearing classic Eagles songs and other hits from Don and his band. And, as a lifelong fan of Louise Goffin I can only say that there’s nowhere else I’d rather be on 3 July 2016 than Hyde Park in the great city of London."

A hit songwriter since the early 60s, Carole King wrote a myriad of hits in New York City with husband Gerry Goffin that defined 1960s American pop. 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow' for The Shirelles, 'Up On the Roof' for The Drifters, '(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman' for Aretha Franklin, 'The Locomotion' for Little Eva and 'Pleasant Valley Sunday' for the Monkees are just a fraction of the hits that made them some of the most successful and prolific writers in music history.

Over 400 of Carole King’s songs have been recorded by over 1000 artists.

The album has sold over 25 million copies and with every song a famous classic, it is worth listing the album’s tracks:

I Feel The Earth Move
So Far Away
It’s Too Late
Home Again
Beautiful
Way Over Yonder
You’ve Got A Friend
Where You Lead
Will You Love Me Tomorrow?
Smackwater Jack
Tapestry
(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman

Joining Carole King in a legendary line-up is another classic songwriter from the same California scene she epitomised.

Don Henley is a member of the biggest American band of all time, The Eagles. As drummer, co-lead vocalist and driving force behind the band, he was the sound of huge hits like 'Desperado, 'Life In The Fast Lane' and 'Hotel California'. Their 'Greatest Hits' is the best selling album of the 20th Century. He had incredible solo success too with the classic 'Boys Of Summer' among the hits written outside the band.
