Turning the crowd wild with joy, the euphoric sounds of Snakehips gave the audience just what they wanted, hitting all the right spots…
Having gained over 1million subscriptions on their YouTube channel, Majestic Casual are heavily talked about as fans eagerly keep their eye out for upcoming shows and albums. Since their release of ‘Chapter 1’, they have continued to surprise us with breath-taking summer tunes, preparing their wide audience with mixtures of deep house and electronic as well as soothing, soul vibes. Following the release of their much anticipated album, Majestic also announced their first own live show, the debut show of Snakehips. Selling out overnight, Snakehips revealed the full version of their latest single ‘Forever’, with over 300,000 views!
The intimate venue of Village Underground was perfect for the set of Majestic Casual. With the spotlight on the decks and Navy Shade already preparing us for the spectacular show to come, the bar was welcoming everyone to the floor. As the hall filled, men and women of all ages took over the area, letting the electronic vibes of Tropics and Star Slinger escape to a night of bliss. As Star Slinger finished up and Snakehips set was moved to the front, Village Underground was completely packed out; faces of teens with groups of friends, middle aged work buddies arriving straight from work, and young journalists eager to hear those euphoric sounds from the production duo geniuses.
Starting with ‘Make It’, released almost a year ago, the crowd went wild! With all sorts of different kinds of people bouncing around, everyone seemed to unite to the sound of the Wanderlust remix; sharing drinks and dances, the atmosphere had turned the venue almost into a dreamland as balloons fell from the ceiling, spreading joy across everyone’s face the set ended. Leaving the hyped tone for Pomo to continue, people that had gone to get another drink, or a breath of fresh air immediately ran back as he dropped the Kaytranada remix of AlunaGeroge’s Kaleidoscope Love, and reunited with the party.
Selling out overnight, it’s no wonder the crowd was overcome with excitement, almost in a trance! Due to the fast selling of tickets, another night in London has been set for Wednesday 28th May. Having a huge growth in their fan-base over the past year or so, Snakehips will also be performing at this year’s Leeds and Reading Festival, Love Saves The Day Festival (Bristol), Pitch Festival (Amsterdam), Longitude (Ireland) and Outlook Festival (Croatia). With all the upcoming live shows, we can only wait for what is next for the London based production duo.
