Emerging star Jon Bellion landed in the UK this week for his first string of live dates this side of the Atlantic. It all kicked off at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire last night with further sold out shows in Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin and Glasgow to follow.

The 26 year old singer, songwriter and producer has been nothing short of a cult phenomenon since his breakout hit ‘All Time Low’ last year and the love for the charming American in the UK was clear among the fans gathered Shepherds Bush on Thursday evening. Jon bounded onto the stage to raucous screams and applause, opening track ‘He Is The Same’ was met with a joyous mass of bouncing bodies and accompanying voices.

The infectious excitement in the room only intensified for hit song ‘All Time Low’, as show-man Jon flitted between punching at his synth and dancing and jumping around the stage. His colossal energy was mirrored in the crowd – who sang along to every word - and remained unwearied to the very end, perhaps a little unexpectedly to an awed and humbled Jon embarking on his debut tour in the UK.

Jon’s varied set pulled influences from pop, hip-hop, soul and indie resulting in an attention demanding, stadium-worthy sound. His lyrics are personal, often thought provoking and relatable. He tells stories as an every-man and entertains like a mega-star.

Jon is nothing but a major player in the making and it’s safe to say he has been fully embraced by the UK. His fan base here is bound to only grow bigger as support from radio and media swells - we’re going to be hearing a lot more from this extraordinary young artist.
