Monday the 23rd of July many people decided to come see the Liverpudlian band 'The Dead 60s' play at the Bar Academy in Birmingham. And for a good reason.

The band with front man Matt McManamon, Bassist Charlie Turner, Guitarist Ben Gordon, and Drummer Bryan Johnson, has been putting their punk energy out in the world since 2003 and attending their shows is definitely worth the time. They opened with the siren sound out of their first UK single 'You’re not the law'. Then the guys had the crowd rocking to their very own style that has shades of Jamaican influence and reminds listeners of American Punk sound of the Californian band Sublime from the late 90s.

The crowd clearly enjoyed the bands’ unique style and the
atmosphere in the club was great although not very many listeners were singing along with the lyrics. The only drawback being that they had the crowd waiting for quite a while before coming on stage.
