At the ULU this warm May evening The Music were the only thing that mattered. Their unique fusion of dance and rock whipped the audience into a frenzy, they owned this audience; the air fizzed with ecstatic adulation as Rob n co ripped through an astonishing set.

Every song was a master-class 'Take the Long Road and Walk it’ consumed the venue, the audience bounced as one. New material sounded immense especially 'Drugs’ with its Blondie esque intro leading into a blinding chorus.

'Getaway’ was another standout moment, Rob loosing himself to his flamboyant dancing, you could see the elation on his face as he held his hands high, as if feeding on the rapture his band were causing.

Finishing with a defiant 'Bleed from Within’ the band departed from the stage leaving a few hundred elated witnesses contemplating the magnificence of what they had just seen.

The Music are the prime example of what music is meant to do; excite and invigorate people. The Music have always been gods, tonight they reinforced the view that the music scene is lost without them.
