'Having seen The Automatic a few months ago at The Charlotte in Leicester, I went to see them at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham with high expectations, and was not disappointed!
The Automatic always perform with an energy matched by few others. What they lack in original sounds is made up for by infectious lyrics and a beat that drove me to the point of losing all my inhibitions and letting go, regretting I haven’t grown my hair any longer. Looking round the crowd they were having the same effect on everyone. Big fat grins and bobbing heads, all eyes fixed to the front, and no time for a toilet break. As well as playing chart hit 'Monster’ and the popular 'Recover’ the band played a select few from their new album 'This is a Fix’, which is more of the same, which is great- that’s what we want! Where do The Automatic get their energy from? Well they certainly have youth on their side.
