On Wednesday night we arrived outside Cafe De Paris to a mass of screaming young girls, all there for one reason only... Austin Mahone.
The 17-year-old YouTube sensation has been causing quite a stir in the US since superstar Taylor Swift asked him to join her on her upcoming 'Red' tour alongside the UK's very own Ed Sheeran. The young heartthrob has clearly already built a strong following in the UK as fans, who he calls his 'Mahomies', flocked to his London showcase.
Kicking the show off with his latest single 'Say Somethin', its clear Austin has the full package of good looks and talent. He then performed his new single 'What About Love' as well as his collaboration with Flo Rida 'Say You're Just A Friend', showing off his cool dance moves throughout. As I looked around the packed room I could see his fans singing along to every song and screaming and applauding at the end of each song; it seems Austin fever has well and truly arrived!
He may or may not like to hear it but he is very much like Justin Bieber, which then poses the question of whether there is room for Austin? Only the future will tell but after watching his great showcase I think there is more than enough room for Austin and his 'Mahomies'.
