Superstar DJ Armin Van Buuren returned to Club Papaya for the fourth time this year and this time it's emotional...
Blond, sunkissed and god-like, AVB took to the stage at this open air beach club gobsmacked that this secret Croatian venue's loyal crowd has recognised the fact that this is his fourth return and consequentially made banners and flags to welcome him. Yes - actual banners, the sort Justin Bieber expects to line the aisles of Tescos. Banners for a trance DJ!
But he's not just anyone... DJ Mag voted this guy the best in the world four times over in their Top 100 poll and there certainly is *something* about his stage presence. Maybe it's the fact that he's hot and half of Europe wants to marry him. Maybe it's the fact that he mixes great tunes. Or maybe it's that when he looks out into the crowd and really does seem touched by the effort they've made.
He tries out a few new tunes. The fans go crazy. As the sun rises over the sea he rinses 'I Am Coming Home'. It's a tradition, apparently. He tries to leave the stage three times and each attempt gets a standing ovation.
