Alice Cooper would love Sir Anthony Hopkins to narrate a Halloween show in the style of Hannibal Lecter.
The American rock singer has described his perfect event for the spooky day.
He would enlist the help of Hollywood legend Anthony into his set at some point.
“If money was no object then I would ask Sir Anthony Hopkins to narrate the ultimate Halloween show,” he said. “Obviously I’d have him do it in exactly the same way that he played Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs. The way he did that was so masterful and terrifying, the sense of rage that you felt was always under control but was still there under the surface.
“I think if you had that live onstage the audience would get a real sense of terror. Put it this way, I bet no-one would be chatting and making a noise when Anthony Hopkins is speaking!”
Alice is famed for his elaborate horror-themed stage shows that feature guillotines, electric chairs and baby dolls.
Alice loves celebrating the spooky Halloween holiday, and enjoys wearing authentic attire. The 63-year-old star likes to be imaginative when it comes to costumes.
“When it comes to Halloween, I’m very much the traditionalist. If you come to a show in a costume, you make the costume yourself. And it should come from your deepest, darkest nightmare because this is the one night of the year that you can really bring those nightmares to life,” he told Kerrang! magazine.
“If you’re going to be a zombie, make sure you’re a really scary zombie. On Halloween you’ve got to go all out. It’s the one night of the year when you really can.”
