Recordings by the Beatles, Ray Charles, Prince, the Animals & 26 More Selected for Grammy Hall of Fame.

The Recording Academy has chosen thirty titles to add to the Grammy Hall of Fame, bringing the total of inducted titles to 881.

Neil Portnow, President and CEO of the Academy, said "The GRAMMY Hall Of Fame represents all genres of music, acknowledging the diversity of musical expression for which The Academy has become renowned. These musical treasures have brought us timeless recordings, and each of them deserves to be memorialized. These recordings are living evidence that music remains an indelible part of our culture."

This year's selections run through almost every genre and come from every era, going back as far as 1927 for Dark Was the Night - Cold Was the Ground by Blind Willie Johnson and My Mammy by Al Jolson to 1984 and Prince & the Revolutions' Purple Rain.

The recordings inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame are enshrined at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
