Justin Bieber must learn he can't "use bodyguards as weapons to harm innocent people", says a lawyer involved in suing him.
Last week, photographer Jeffrey Binion filed paperwork claiming Justin's minders attacked him while he was trying to take pictures of the star outside a recording studio in Miami.
Binion has now filed another suit in which he alleges Bieber was behind the incident, TMZ reports. The photographer claims that the 18-year-old singer ordered his bodyguard Hugo Hesny to push him up against a wall and hold him around the throat so Binion could see a gun which was holstered under Hesny's shirt. As this was going on, it is claimed Hesny and others present took the memory card out of Binion's camera.
"Justin Bieber is now an adult, and he should act like one. He needs to learn that he cannot use bodyguards as weapons to harm innocent people. Bieber’s violent behaviour toward photographers must end, and he should take responsibility for his actions," the photographer's attorney Russell S. Adler said.
Although Binion makes a living from photography he is adamant he is not a paparazzo.
He alleges the incident caused him "bodily injury, pain and suffering, mental anguish and incurred [him] medical expenses", according to the website.
"No amount of fame or fortune justifies Bieber’s shameful and outrageous conduct. To send him that message and deter his misbehaviour in the future, we will seek punitive damages against him as allowed by Florida law," Adler added.
The latest suit has been filed against both Bieber and Hesny. It is alleged that Hesny should not be working as a bodyguard in Florida because he doesn't have the correct legal paperwork in place. It is also claimed that he is not licensed to carry a concealed weapon in the state.
This is the latest in a string of dubious incidents Bieber has been involved in. He has had numerous scuffles with photographers over the last few months and been investigated by police following complaints from his neighbours about his behaviour in their gated community. He was accused of spitting at one man during an argument at his home and of driving his Ferrari around the area at worryingly high speeds.
