Boyzone have announced an open-air gig at Alive at Delapre this year, as part of their 20th anniversary tour.
The Irish pop legends will play in the beautiful historic grounds of Delapre Abbey on Sunday 20 July.
Boyzone are well known for performing hit classics including, ‘When the going gets tough’, ‘All that I need’ and ‘No matter what’, and have racked up six UK number one singles and five number one albums, with 25 million records sold worldwide by 2013.
After going their separate ways in 1999 and taking a seven year hiatus, Boyzone decided to reunite in 2007 and returned to the stage for a comeback tour.
Boyzone are the first act announced for this year’s Alive @Delapre concert series, taking place from Friday- Sunday, July 18-20.
Councillor David Mackintosh, Leader of Northampton Borough Council, said: “We’re delighted to announce Boyzone as the first act for Alive at Delapre. It’s amazing to have the band at Delapre and we hope that fans old and new will join us to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary in these fantastic parkland surroundings.
“Last year, Alive at Delapre helped put Northampton on the map, with thousands of people travelling from near and far for three days of top quality entertainment. And we’re sure that this year’s acts will not disappoint, providing the same level of quality music for all to enjoy. “
