Experimental music pioneer Brian Eno reveals two more tracks from his forthcoming album.

At the start of the month, Eno began streaming the brooding new tune ‘2 Forms Of Anger’ on his website.

It was the first taste of his first solo album in five years, Small Craft In A Milk Sea.

He’s now put up two more songs: ‘Horse’ and ‘Emerald and Stone’.

In keeping with the first song, they’re both haunting instrumentals.

‘Horse’ is a crescendo of wavering synths, ominous drones, and shimmering guitar noise and ‘Emerald And Stone’ is a delicate piano soundscape.

Eno says the new album was inspired by the “sensuality and unfinished-ness” of film scores from the early ‘70s,

He cites Nino Rota’s Fellini soundtracks particularly, which left him with the impression “that a music which left itself in some way unresolved engaged the listener in a particularly creative way”.

Following the release of the album, there will be a filmed interview with Eno online, as well as performance videos with collaborators Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams.

Small Craft In A Milk Sea will come out on November 5 through Warp Records.
