Britney Spears will take to the stage this week in a performance tribute to Whitney Houston.
The Toxic singer has joined a star-studded line-up for the special Grammy Salute event.
Britney broke the news to her 20 million Twitter followers on Tuesday evening.
“I am both honoured and humbled to take part in the GRAMMY salute to Whitney Houston on Thursday... She'll always be 1 of my heroes! (sic)" the star wrote.
Further details surrounding the singer’s performance have not been disclosed.
Britney joins a cast including Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Céline Dion, Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winans.
The tribute is scheduled to tape in Los Angeles on Thursday.
We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston will air on US television network CBS on November 16.
Whitney died on February 11, 2012, aged 48.
Her body was found in the bathtub of a Los Angeles hotel. The cause of death was ruled an accidental drowning. Heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors, according to the coroner’s report.
