Britney Spears was introduced to her boyfriend’s family this week at his grandmother’s request.
The 31-year-old pop star went to David Lucado’s hometown of Appomattox, Virginia to spend time with his loved ones.
Britney and her beau have been dating for six months and she wanted kick back and get a peek at his old life before moving to Los Angeles.
“David’s grandmother is 93 and she wanted to meet her,” David’s aunt, Gayle Lucado, told Celebuzz.
“They came here to relax and get away from everything for a few days. He’s a very quiet, sweet young man who grew up in a small town in Virginia.
“The closest city is Richmond and that's over an hour away," she said of David's down home roots.
The duo are said to have enjoyed regular activities during the trip, having nice meals and taking advantage of the rural surroundings.
“They didn’t really do anything, they just did family," she revealed. "And went out for dinner one night. We have a farm and they stayed there. They really enjoyed having her here.”
Britney left the abode after her three-day trip on Friday to attend to work commitments while David went on to a family reunion.
“Britney had a conflict so she left today and David’s on his way to his sister's wedding," Gayle explained. "It’s been a busy week. We’re all really excited. We hope she comes back.”
Britney is busy working on a comeback. The performer’s track Work B***h comes out on Monday and she’s expected to announce details of her Las Vegas concert residency Tuesday.
The star is said to be doing "Olympic-style training" for her series of shows while juggling the responsibilities of being a mother-of-two.
Her trainer Tony Martinez believes these workouts will help her be in top form for her Vegas shows.
"She is doing Olympic-style training,” he recently told E! News. “This is hardcore stuff. Britney knew she needed to step up her game. She is just drilling it but she likes too! She loves to sweat and she still talks smack to me."
