Caleb Followill wore bikini bottoms the first time he undressed in front of his wife.
The Kings of Leon frontman is married to Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge and the pair have 14-month-old daughter Dixie together. While Caleb is known for his rock 'n' roll image, the musician surprised the brunette beauty when he unveiled what he was wearing underneath his trousers during the early stages of their relationship.
"My wife was like, 'You remember these?' and she pulled out some tiny bikini underwear," he laughed to ShortList magazine. "The first night I got with her, I took my pants off and I had on bikini underwear, and she laughed. I was like, 'What the f**k are you laughing at?' She said, 'Do you really wear those?' and I said, 'Yeah.' But now I don’t get to wear them. I’ve elected to go with no underwear."
The band - also formed of Caleb's brothers Nathan and Michael and cousin Cameron - have changed their looks over the years.
However Caleb admits he's slightly "embarrassed" when thinking about their previous facial hair and long locks.
"Some of it’s a little embarrassing, but I do miss the hair. I’m kind of going backwards with that now. I have a little case that I pack all of my old shirts in," he revealed.
Nathan's old T-shirts are so small, he jokes his eight-month-old daughter Violet can't even fit into them. Nathan is married to fellow singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin.
"I pulled one of [my T-shirts] out the other day and my daughter cannot even wear it," he mused.
Caleb experienced a similar incident with Lily. Even with her petite figure she couldn't fit into one of his sweatshirts.
"My wife, who’s a skinny woman, put on my sweater the other day and it came to here," he said, pointing to his belly button. "She was like, 'You didn’t used to wear this.' I said, 'I wore that sweater every day for a whole tour.'"
