Chris Martin: Marriage is like lottery win

Chris Martin says being with Gwyneth Paltrow is like “winning the lottery”.

The Coldplay frontman married the Hollywood star in 2003. They have seven-year-old daughter Apple and son Moses, five, together, and Chris couldn’t be happier.

Gwyneth is the only woman he’s been seriously involved with, something he’s proud of.

“[That's] right. I'm in it,” he replied, when asked if it was true he’d only had one proper relationship.

“It's a big leap? What, from being a loser, to going out with an Oscar winner? It's a giant leap. Let's face it: it's like winning the lottery.”

Chris added having a family has impacted his work a lot. He now takes things much more seriously as he wants to provide for his loved ones.

“It's made it more focused. And you have a purpose. I like what it does. Just the idea of having to work hard so your kids are OK,” he told CBS Sunday Morning in an interview airing this weekend.
