Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriends have apparently been “briefed” about their baby duties.
Earlier this month it was revealed that the music mogul is to become a father for the first time, following news that socialite Lauren Silverman is pregnant. Simon is renowned for maintaining close relationships with former flames and wants them to be involved when the baby arrives.
“His harem of female friends and exes – Jackie St Clair, Sinitta, Lizzie Cundy and Mezhgan Hussainy – have all been briefed to be on babysitting standby once his mini-me arrives,” a source told British magazine Grazia.
There are also rumours that Simon isn’t prepared to take any chances when it comes to the safety of his firstborn. The dad-to-be is willing to pull out all the stops to protect his baby when it is born in February.
“Don’t mess with Baby Cowell,” an insider said. “Sources say Lauren has asked for a ‘ring of steel’, with 15 security guards. They aren’t taking any chances with security – armoured cars are de rigueur.”
Sources also speculate that Lauren is planning to splash out on a state-of-the-art buggy for the new arrival.
“Lauren is tipped to want the latest LA mummy must-have: The Roddler,” revealed an insider. “Starting at $4,495, it’s more akin to a vintage care than a pram.”
It has been claimed that Simon will give Lauren the keys to his £8m Beverly Hills mansion so that she and the baby will be close by to his home in Los Angeles.
