Ireland Baldwin is deeply saddened by Paris Jackson’s suicide attempt.

The daughter of late singer Michael Jackson tried to take her own life last week by apparently taking around 20 ibuprofen tablets and cutting herself with a meat cleaver. Paris, 15, is now hospitalised and receiving further medical treatment for her emotional and mental issues.

Professional model Ireland, 17, thinks highly of Paris and hopes she gets back in good spirits soon.

“I think she is a gorgeous girl. She’s one of the most beautiful girls her age I’ve ever seen,” Ireland told Entertainment Tonight.

“It saddens me to see her going through something like that.”

It is rumoured Paris felt terribly alone due to her father’s death and that she may have been bullied at school due to allegations of child molestation against Michael brought by Wade Robson.

Ireland advises Paris to think about how loved she truly is and to ignore mean comments.

“All of us, no matter who you are, get tons of Twitter negativity and there [are] some people that say horrific things but she just shouldn't mind them,” Ireland said.

“[Paris] has so many people that support her.”

An investigation into Paris’ welfare has been ordered by the teenager’s family court judge.

The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services are also thought to be involved in the matter.

TMZ reports it is “likely” Paris’ biological mother Debbie Rowe will take custody of her. Currently she is being looked after by her grandmother Katherine Jackson and her cousin TJ Jackson.
