The Jackson family will reportedly fight "tooth and nail" if Debbie Rowe applies to become Paris Jackson's legal guardian.

Paris is currently in hospital following a suicide bid last week. Since the death of her father Michael Jackson in 2009, Paris and her two brothers have been looked after by her grandmother Katherine Jackson. However, it has been reported that in recent months the 15-year-old has struggled to connect to her grandma and has developed a close bond with biological mom Debbie.

Although Debbie hasn't made any moves to become Paris' guardian, the Jacksons are said to be vehemently against the idea.

"Many family members are expressing outrage at the prospect Debbie Rowe could become Paris Jackson's legal guardian," reports TMZ. "We're told the family will fight Debbie tooth and nail if she attempts to secure guardianship."
It has been suggested that Debbie would consider becoming Paris' guardian if the teenager wanted it to happen.

According to the website, family members suspect Debbie is trying to put herself in the public eye, particularly after she made a statement about Paris' suicide bid.

"If her intentions were pure she'd be speaking to the family," a source claimed.

Debbie has kept a low-profile since her divorce from Michael was finalised in 1999 and she gave the pop star full custodial rights of Paris and Prince.

However, in the past few months Debbie and Paris are believed to have been spending more time together, with reports even suggesting the teenager was considering moving in with her mom.

An investigation into Paris’ welfare has been ordered by a family court judge.

Katherine's guardianship is being reviewed to determine if she remains capable of taking care of Michael's three children.
