Jessie J says it’s the “small things” which make her job worthwhile.
The 23-year-old Domino singer had a dramatic year.
While Jessie’s career skyrocketed during the summer she suffered a broken foot that left permanent arthritis in her ankle.
Recuperated and back at work, Jessie wants to share her happiness and vitality with her fans.
“So many moments have knocked for me six this year. It’s the smaller things that do it for me, though,” she told British magazine Star.
“Like when a fan of mine was going through a tough time so I gave her two tickets to come and watch my show and she cried. Yeah, it’s things like that make it worth doing.”
Jessie has triumphed with numerous career achievements this year, such as serving as house artist for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in August and opening for Katy Perry on her California Dreams Tour.
Jessie is sometimes shocked by all of her accomplishments.
“It still hasn’t sunk in that I’ve got the biggest-selling debut album of the year,” she explained.
The singer has many more aspirations and can’t wait to start working on her goals in 2012.
“I’m looking forward to the New Year because I’ve got a lot to raise a glass to. I’ve not really seen my diary for next year yet, and I’m a little scared to look at it – I know I’m going to be living.”
