Internationally renowned, multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban has scored his first No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart with his latest album All That Echoes.
This is Groban's third chart-topping album. Both 2003's Closer and 2007's Noël climbed to No. 1.
All That Echoes sold 144,000 copies in its first week and racked up a host of positive reviews from major media outlets, including Rolling Stone, which remarked that "Groban's vocal dexterity and soulful strength is as always remarkable" and USA Today, which said, "There's no denying that Josh Groban has one of the most technically impressive voices in pop music - a robust, limpid bari-tenor with a vibrato as smooth and lush as a silk bathrobe."
The New York Times noted that "the final two minutes of Josh Groban's new album ring clear with freewheeling entitlement, like the flash of a peregrine set aloft," while American Songwriter raves that "All That Echoes is not only Groban's most accessible and unified work to date, but it also stands out as the seminal musical moment of his 12-year career."
Groban co-wrote seven of the 12 tracks that appear on All That Echoes, which was produced by Warner Bros. Records Chairman Rob Cavallo. Other producers include Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson) and Lester Mendez (Shakira, Nelly Furtado).
Special guests on the album include Grammy-winning trumpet player Arturo Sandoval on "Un Alma Mas" and Italian superstar vocalist Laura Pausini on "E Ti Promotteró." Groban's single "Brave" is already top 20 at AC radio.
