Justin Bieber's manager reportedly wants him to cut ties with Lil Twist.
The teen heartthrob spends a lot of time with the young rapper, and Justin's manager Scooter Braun apparently fears Twist might be dragging the popstar down.
According to TMZ, Scooter wants Justin to ditch Twist, but the 19-year-old singer is reluctant to do so.
Twist has landed himself in a series of legal problems recently, including Driving Under the Influence and speeding in Justin's sports car. His woes worsened on Thursday morning when he was accused of battery following an alleged argument with a girl at Justin's home in Calabasas.
It seems Twist's latest run-in with the law was the final straw for Scooter.
"We're told Scooter is putting his foot down, insisting Twist is nothing but a parasite sucking Bieber dry," reports the website. "Bieber is still sticking by his buddy - in fact, we're told he and Scooter had a blowout fight on Thursday when Scooter said Twist had to go."
Justin has sparked concern since splitting from his girlfriend Selena Gomez at the end of last year.
He has reportedly been driving recklessly around his local area, been accused of assaulting a neighbour, got into an altercation with paparazzi, was videoed urinating into a restaurant cleaning bucket and been forced to deny spitting on fans from a balcony. Earlier this week he was cleared of hit-and-run charges stemming from an incident in June.
Justin is currently in New York and has been partying at several of the city's clubs. The star was seen wearing a gruesome mask from the film V for Vendetta as he returned to his hotel on Wednesday night.
His security team has been keeping a close eye on the singer to ensure any over-zealous fans don't get too close, while his tour bus driver is apparently having fun teasing Justin's admirers.
“His bodyguards look like guys from Jersey Shore and they are patrolling around the hotel,” a source told New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column. “The driver is screwing with the girls. He drives the tour bus from one door to another and the girls scream and chase it. It is pretty dumb.”
