The woman who claims Justin Bieber is the father of her baby is an “honest, good person,” her family says.

Mariah Yeater has filed a paternity lawsuit against the 17-year-old singer claiming that her three-month-old son is his child.

Although Justin has vehemently denied the claims, Mariah’s grandfather insists that she is telling the truth.

“She’s basically an honest, good person,” Eddie Markhouse told Inside Edition. “She’s got a big heart. She’s a good kid and she loves this baby.”

“I don’t know the whole story. But from what I understood, she met him at a concert and he sent two security guards down off of the stage to bring her backstage to meet him.”

Mariah is demanding that the Baby singer takes a paternity test and awards her child support to help bring up the child.

The 20-year-old California woman claims that she only met Justin once but that their alleged liaison led to her getting pregnant.

The child, Trystyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater was born back in July and a date has been set in December for the hearing of her lawsuit.

Justin took to his Twitter page yesterday to make a veiled comment about the allegations.

“I’m going to ignore the rumors… and focus on what is real,” he wrote. “An opportunity to help by doing what I love. Judge me on the music! Love yalll!”

“All the rumors… the gossip… Im gonna focus on the positives… the music,” he later added. (sic)

Sources told TMZ that Justin believes the story was “completely made up” and that he never even met the woman.
