Kanye West has reportedly irked the Kardashian family by reaching out to Scott Disick.
Kourtney Kardashian split from Scott after nine years together earlier this month amid rumours she had grown tired of his partying antics.
Although the 36-year-old beauty is said to want to stay on reasonable terms with her ex for the sake of their kids - Mason, five, Penelope, three, and seven-month-old Reign - it's thought Kanye, who's married to Kourtney's sister Kim, staying in contact with Scott isn't going down well.
"Kim found out Kanye and Scott were in touch and Kanye was giving Scott career tips. Kanye felt sorry for Scott when his mum died two years ago - he was devastated when he lost his own mum, Donda, in 2007 and felt a bond with Scott," a source told British magazine Closer.
"But Kim told him Kourtney wants the family to cut him out. Kanye doesn't like being told what to do but he promised they wouldn't speak any more to keep her happy."
Scott lost his mother Bonnie to a long illness at the end of 2013, and his father Jeffrey passed away just a few months later. It's thought these tragedies triggered the star's reckless lifestyle, which has been captured on various episodes of reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
It's claimed Kourtney would prefer full custody of her kids, but recent reports state she is seeking joint guardianship.
"Kourtney has been emotional and she wants full custody as she feels Scott's partying doesn't make him responsible," the source added to Closer. "But she knows how much the children love him and wouldn't deny him access."
Aside from Scott briefly revealing that he's taking each day at a time, neither party have fully spoken out about their split.
