Katy Perry is reportedly eager to buy a “family home” with her husband Russell Brand.
The pair recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. However, the past 12 months have been hectic for both stars and they haven’t seen much of each other. Despite speculation their marriage is going through a rocky patch, Katy is more in love than ever and dreams of having children with the comic actor.
“Katy has told friends she wants to settle down at a ‘proper family home in California’ when she finally gets the time,” Grazia magazine reports.
Katy was recently seen dining out with Russell’s mother Barbara. The 37-year-old has a close relationship with his mom and Katy realises it is important to bond with her.
“Russell’s mother’s advice to her daughter-in-law was simple as it gets,” the magazine added. “Urging the singer to clear her diary and spend ‘some lovely time together.’”
Even though the couple spend long periods apart, they are still totally committed to the marriage. Russell has insisted his womanising days are behind him and has told Katy they must trust each other.
“He always tells her never to take any notice of anything because she is the only person he is true to,” a source told the publication. “One thing is certain: they need to spend more time together. Russell is incredibly self-possessed and independent. He doesn’t tend to do jealousy and doesn’t do anxiety. He’s totally in control of himself because he’s come through so many addictions – he has learned to be exactly who he is. Katy absolutely adores him, and scratch away the surface and mad clothes and you find a very traditional girl with Christian values. She really wants this to work.”
