Kelly Rowland feels “liberated” and enjoys visiting sex shops with her friends.
The singer shows off her risqué side in her latest album Here I Am. There are several suggestive songs on the record and Kelly feels more sexually confident than ever.
“I’m now liberated at 30, it’s almost a transition. I was scared what my mom would say after Motivation but she was yelling, ‘Go lover,’” Kelly told British newspaper The Mirror. “You can’t keep me away from a good sex shop. Those are interesting places. I go with a bunch of people that way no one recognises me.”
Even though she is happy to discuss her sex life through her music, the 30-year-old star is currently single.
Kelly was previously engaged to American football player Roy Williams. She was left devastated when the relationship ended as she had been planning to settle down and start a family.
The singer is now more cautious when it comes to love.
“I wanted that wedding. I wanted to be married. I wanted to have kids. At that time I was crazily talking about wanting five. You can just make wrong decisions in life. That was all a part of growing up. I just think it’s important to trust your gut,” she said.
“I’m careful with my heart. I don’t take c**p from no one these days. I put my foot down. Being a woman you deserve heaven and earth. So if a man wants to date me, know that I don’t take c**p.”
While Kelly is focusing on her career, her best friend and Destiny’s Child bandmate Beyoncé Knowles is pregnant. The star can’t wait to meet the new arrival – and plans to be present for the birth.
“I’m 30 but I am not ready for kids yet, not till I have what Beyoncé and Jay-Z have. I’m going to be there for Beyoncé, changing diapers, feeding the baby and helping them as parents,” she added.
“But until I’m crazy in love with someone, like Bey is, then it’s not going to happen. When I get married it will be for life, divorce is not an option.
“I wouldn’t miss the birth of Beyoncé’s baby. I don’t want to miss those moments. It’s a life-changing thing to people that I love and I want to be a part of it.”
