Madonna reportedly may marry her toyboy lover because she has a “real fear” of being on her own.
The 53-year-old singer is currently dating dancer Brahim Zaibat, 24. Her beau is said to have proposed to the star a month ago at a Kabbalah centre in New York City, although the songstress is said to have kept him waiting for a definite answer.
“Madonna has a real fear of being on her own, plus she loves having a man in her life who is young and makes her feel young ” a source told British magazine Closer.
Madonna – who has been dating Brahim since 2010 – hasn’t ruled out marrying again. She previously hinted she could walk up the aisle in the future.
"It's not that I ever believed in perfect love. But if you are a romantic like me, you want to be swept off your feet by a knight in shining armour,” she admitted. “Unfortunately, we are raised on those fairytales, and even if we are sophisticated, educated, intellectually evolved human beings we still, in the back of our mind, think that Mr. Right is going to come along and we are going to live happily ever after.
“I could actually [see myself getting married again.] Yes.”
Madonna has been divorced twice – once from actor Sean Penn in 1989, while her marriage to director Guy Richie ended in 2008.
