Mel C acts "silly" to annoy Victoria Beckham.
The 40-year-old star and fashion designer were both members of successful pop group the Spice Girls. They were joined by Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie B.
Although time has passed since their heyday Mel insists she and Victoria are still close and they all have fun together when reunited.
"Victoria and I used to spend a lot of time together when we were in the band as we were the quietist - and it was nice to have each other. She has such as dry sense of humour and, because people have never really got her, it's nice to really know her," Mel explained to British magazine Closer.
"When the girls are together, we make each other silly and it can get on Victoria's nerves, so we'll try to get her to act silly as well. Victoria used to come to London and make sure she saw everyone, but now she's [living] here - you know what it's like. If someone lives down the road, you never see them!"
Even years after the girls split, which was followed by a brief reunion, Mel says not a lot has changed. In some cases it appears their nicknames are still true to their personalities, especially with Scary Spice, Mel B.
"We still have our different roles. Emma is really supportive and the kind of person you can rely on. I'm usually the pacifier and the diplomat - I was trying to keep everything calm when we were in the band and I'm also the disciplinarian," she revealed.
"Geri is the crazy one who makes us all laugh and Mel B frightens us!"
