Miley Cyrus reportedly wants to spend New Year’s Eve with Kellan Lutz.
The two stars were first linked earlier this month, after they were spotted sharing a private jet in Miami. Reports quickly insisted they were just friends, but it’s now thought they are enjoying a low-key romance.
Miley is due to perform at a major concert in New York City on December 31 and has apparently asked the Twilight hunk to go with her.
“Miley wants Kellan to be her guest at Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Concert in New York. Miley is super excited to perform and she’s going to be doing something very exciting for the show. Something she’s never done before and wants Kellan to be her VIP guest. There’s a huge party after the concert as well,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com.
It’s been claimed that it was 28-year-old Kellan who initiated the romance by sending word to Miley, 21, that he would like to get to know her.
They met up and have apparently been hanging out “ever since”, according to Us Weekly.
Miley split from her fiancé Liam Hemsworth in September and has admitted the relationship wasn’t right for some time before they eventually ended it. Kellan and Liam know each other, rumoured to be another reason the star is interested in the actor.
“It doesn’t hurt that he’s Liam’s pal,” the Us Weekly source continues. “But they really enjoy each other’s company.”
Miley has insisted she is ready to move on from Liam and is looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life. She hinted she was really too young to be engaged, having accepted Liam’s proposal when she was 19.
