Miley Cyrus is reportedly still "desperately pining" for Liam Hemsworth.
The 21-year-old singer and 23-year-old actor ended their engagement in September after four years together.
While both have been linked to other people since their split, Miley is said to have shared her true feelings with model Cara Delevingne ahead of the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam earlier this month.
"Miley was determined to have a fun night out with Cara, but she couldn't help but open up about her heartache over Liam. Cara was surprised how honest Miley was being about everything, but Miley said she just needed to get it off her chest," an insider told British magazine Closer. "Miley admitted she's still desperately pining for Liam and has been sending him a string of texts over the past couple of weeks. She even admitted to inviting him to her 21st birthday bash, but had no response. She became quite tearful by the end of the evening."
Miley and Liam were both in London recently for promotional trips. During their visit the beauty was reportedly keen to meet with her former flame for a night out together.
"Pals really fear Miley could be close to a meltdown. They feel she's trying so hard to be this new, shocking artist and has lost who she really is," the insider added. "Miley was desperate to bump into Liam while they were both in London and she was asking pals what clubs they thought he might attend. Her inner circle are constantly warning her the wild behaviour will eventually destroy her career."
