More unreleased material from the Jimi Hendrix archive will be released on March 5 with People, Hell and Angels.

The twelve new tracks were recorded by Hendrix, on his own, in 1968 and 1969 and reportedly show the guitarist moving in a new, experimental direction.

The songs were intended for the album First Rays of the New Rising Sun which was slated for release after Electric Ladyland.

According to Rolling Stone, Hendrix "toys with horns, keyboards, percussion and a second guitar, exploring fresh diversions from his legendary guitarwork."
