Rihanna and Chris Brown are allegedly planning to get married in Barbados this summer.
The couple, who have had a well-publicised on-off relationship, sparked rumours a wedding could be imminent last week.
Since then R&B singer Chris has reportedly been looking at engagement rings and his bride-to-be is said to be expecting a proposal any day now.
"Rihanna has been telling her friends and family to keep their summer free; that she's going to have big news. It's pretty obvious what she's hinting at and it's no secret she wants to get married in Barbados. That's her dream wedding," a source told British magazine Grazia.
"It's not a matter of if, but when. Chris has already spoken to Rihanna's father about marriage and Ronald gave him his blessing. Chris has a tough guy image but he's a romantic guy. He wants to surprise his girl with the proposal - she hasn't a clue when or where he's going to do it - but they both know it's coming, so she's been getting her plans together."
Traditional Barbadian customs reportedly feature heavily in Rihanna's dream day, with the star keen for her and Chris to choose different shades of sand to signify their relationship.
"The two colours are mixed together to show they are now one," a source continued. "Rihanna has her heart set on black and white, which she thinks sums them up perfectly. She also wants a traditional rum cake."
Since they reunited at the beginning of the year Chris and Rihanna have been the subject of numerous stories speculating they have split again. This week, Chris made headlines for apparently partying with blonde Keisha Kimball, but she has since denied they are dating.
Sources say the wedding will be Chris' chance to prove to the world he is committed to Rihanna.
"Chris has been telling people that he will come through and make her his wife and that it will happen soon. He says he's made up his mind and she's the one and he's totally ready," the source explained.
"As much as Rihanna loves him and wants to believe he will propose, there's obviously some mistrust there on her part. He's put her through the wringer so many times that it's hard for her to totally let herself go."
