Samantha Barks admires Beyoncé Knowles' "sass".
The 23-year-old actress had her break-out moment when she took on the role of Éponine in 2012's Les Misérables.
She's since had to get used to walking the red carpet for awards dos, but Samantha is never tempted to knock back a drink before a big event.
"No, I'd rather be focused and calm, because the red carpet is the opposite!" she revealed to the British edition of OK! magazine.
"You've got to unlock your inner Sasha Fierce alter ego like Beyoncé! She's got so much sass and confidence yet she's so grounded."
Samantha is all about staying down to earth and admits that she's not "rock 'n 'roll" enough for after-parties.
Instead the pretty brunette would rather have a quiet night in watching TV or invite her friends over for food.
"I'll watch either Modern Family, The Office, Extras, Arrested Development or a good film, otherwise I love hosting a dinner party," she said.
"I'll prepare everything in advance - I've watched too much [TV cooking contest] Come Dine With Me to make that faux pas!"
The star grew up on the Isle of Man, but left home at 16 to make her actress dreams come true.
She admits that it wasn't an easy move for her.
"Yes, I didn't have a single phone number in London and three months later I was on national TV, and then at the Oscars," she marvelled.
"It was a hard decision, but I knew I had to do it. Every year has been like a dream come true."
